{"id":70,"date":"2013-02-03T22:30:10","date_gmt":"2013-02-04T04:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shockbots.com\/blog\/?p=70"},"modified":"2013-02-24T20:21:01","modified_gmt":"2013-02-25T02:21:01","slug":"2013-02-03-homing-bullets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shockbots.com\/blog\/?p=70","title":{"rendered":"2013-02-03 Homing Bullets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I figured out how I want to divide up weapons and weapon power-ups.\u00a0 Weapons will control the number and speed of the rounds fired.\u00a0 Round power-ups (what I was calling power-ups) will control the kind of projectile fired.\u00a0 I also created icons for the round power-ups.<\/p>\n<p>Currently there are 3 weapons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>W01_OneShot: Fires a single shot &#8211; good power per shot and low heat buildup<\/li>\n<li>W02_ThreeWay: Fires 3 shots.\u00a0 Each shot is about 1\/3 power of a OneShot.\u00a0 Heat buildup medium.<\/li>\n<li>W03_RapidFire: Fires about 15 shots per second, but each shot is low power and it builds up heat really fast.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are three Round types:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>R01_Bouncing: Rounds bounce off walls.\u00a0 Each round power up the player gets adds another bounce to the round.<\/li>\n<li>R02_Explosive:\u00a0 Adds splash damage to the round.\u00a0 Each extra round power up the player gets adds greater range to the splash damage.<\/li>\n<li>R03_Homing: Rounds track the nearest mob.\u00a0 Each additional Homing power up the player gets lets the round have a quicker turn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each Round power up is stack-able, but changing round power ups puts the player back on the first level of power for the new round type.<\/p>\n<p>Latest Video:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shockbots.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/Shockbots_2013.02.03.mov\">Shockbots_2013.02.03<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I figured out how I want to divide up weapons and weapon power-ups.\u00a0 Weapons will control the number and speed of the rounds fired.\u00a0 Round power-ups (what I was calling power-ups) will control the kind of projectile fired.\u00a0 I also created icons for the round power-ups.
